Learning Objectives:
By the end of this training, learners will be able to:
- Explain the purpose and function
of Simphony APIs and how external systems interact with Simphony through API
workstations and employees.
- Identify all mandatory components
required for successful API operations, including API Workstation, Service
Host, Gen1/Gen2 Transaction Services, API Employee, RVC setup, and tender

pricing access, and online order injection failures.
- Verify Service Host settings and
correctly match workstation numbers between EMC and web.config to restore API
communication.
- Diagnose and correct Autofire and
Revenue Center misconfigurations, enabling reliable online order processing for
channels such as Uber Eats, Mr D, and Yumbi.
- Resolve issues where API orders
do not fire to KDS or printers, including checking Order Device output
settings.
- Apply a structured
troubleshooting workflow to quickly isolate API-related issues and improve
First Call Resolution (FCR).
