SIMPHONY EMC UPDATE

PURPOSE

The purpose of this document is to provide guidance on how to install/update EMC after APP server upgrade or install

EMC Update/install guide

Kindly follow the below steps to update or install your EMC application

*kindly note that Windows administrator access is needed in order to install or upgrade EMC.*

  1. Open your internet Browser (ie. EDGE, Chrome, Firefox)
  2. Once open, browse to the below url, [replace the “SERVERNAME” with the url of your Simphony Application Server]
  3. https://”SERVERNAME”:9443/simphonyapp or https://msaf-omsim.oracleindustry.com/SimphonyApp
  4. Enter your EMC username and password and click on login


  • At the top of the screen you should see the below, click on downloads


  • You should see the below


  • Click on the downward arrow, from the options displayed select the Enterprise Management Console (EMC) option then click on download.


*for new installs please continue below*

  • Run the download, on the welcome screen of the EMC Client install wizard you need to click on NEXT


  • The installer will automatically set the install destination for you click NEXT


  • Example: C:\Program Files\Oracle Hospitality

Click Install


  • Allow the install to complete
  • Once the installer is complete, click on Finished


  • Go to your desktop and double click the EMC icon to open EMC


  • To update the EMC Application manually please follow steps 1 through 6, then run the installer
  • You will be given three options, please select either “modify” or “repair” then click NEXT


  • Allow the installer to finish the setup
  • Once the installer is complete click on Finish


  • Go to your Desktop and run the EMC app by double clicking on the EMC icon


  • Sign in with your current EMC credentials
